Care Homes
Adapted Ping Pong Activities [APPA]
We have adapted our wide range of easy-to-set-up games to make it possible even for blind people to play. Quadriplegics, those struggling with dementia and autistic people are also playing with real enthusiasm. Part of our philosophy is to look beyond the difficulties that some people have. Rather than seeing what an individual cannot do we need to carefully assess what they CAN do. It is also our role to help others we work with to seek ways to engage someone, who at first sight, seems too old or too restricted in their movements. It’s about preserving the dignity of life and making each individual feel special regardless of any issues that they may have.

The kit
Ping pong 4U has sourced high quality equipment from a wide range of recognised table tennis suppliers.
Our APPA Resource Kits are tried and tested. They provide an excellent level of performance (a consistent bounce and roll) time and time again.
The range of colours and size of balls will mean that in your APPA Resource bag you will find a ball that will be suitable for all of your players.
Versatility is very important and we have made sure that our APPA Resource Kits fit all tables, regardless of size and shape. We have spent time researching each item to ensure that they can be set up quickly and modified easily for different activities. They will stand up to regular use and provide you with hours of fun and excitement.
During these difficult times, with our normal activity sessions across the Yorkshire region cancelled, we’d love to still be able to support our local communities therefore we have put together two activity packs, The Starter pack and the Micro pack, that can be purchased by local families and communities to enjoy Table Tennis in their homes or gardens.
“We have a laugh but I enjoy learning about the technical aspects as well.”
